On June 20, 2025, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Gorakhpur Link Expressway in Azamgarh, an important step in infrastructure development for the state of Uttar Pradesh. At a construction cost of over \u20b97,283 crore, the 91.35 km-long expressway is part of the government’s initiative to position U.P. as an ‘Expressway State’ and foster regional connectivity, investment, and industrial growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Gorakhpur Link Expressway connects key districts, including Azamgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Gorakhpur. It will also act as an important part of U.P.’s metamorphosis from a \u2018BIMARU\u2019 state to a first-class innovator in infrastructure and economic development.
