Developed by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), it provides critical information on the peacefulness of 163 countries, representing 99.7 percent of the global population. In a global context in which geopolitical instability is on the rise, the GPI provides critical data on current global patterns of conflict, safety, and militarization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Global Peace Index is a yearly measurement and quantitative assessment of peace, based on 23 indicators, using three main dimensions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Societal Safety and Security<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Ongoing Domestic and International Conflict<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Degree of Militarization<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global Peace Index is unique in the world of peace measurements and assessments.
