In a significant change for India\u2019s quantum technology ecosystem, Andhra Pradesh will host the country\u2019s first Quantum Computing Valley Amaravati by January, 2026, according to Katamneni Bhaskar, Secretary, ITE&C during a high-level workshop in Vijayawada. The Amaravati Quantum Valley Tech Park will serve as India’s national innovation hub, which complements the objectives of the National Quantum Mission (NQM), and will work with multiple sectors, including healthcare and agri-tech as examples, to positively impact society and industry by deploying quantum technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement of Amaravati Quantum Valley was made during the workshop on Amaravati Quantum Valley held in Vijayawada on June 25, 2025, with a variety of dignitaries in the audience. DAJA 2025: India launches largest-ever tribal empowerment campaign<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Government of India has launched the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJA), the largest campaign for empowering tribal communities in independent India. It is running from 15 June to 15 July 2025, the month-long campaign is reaching over 5.5 crore tribal citizens directly over a period of 31 States and Union Territories, over 550 districts, and over 1 lakh tribal villages and PVTG habitation.         Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Strategic Ganges Bridge Linking Patna<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a significant statement on the political infrastructure and competitive politics Monday with the inauguration of a six-lane bridge over the River Ganges that connects Patna (where he is Based) with Raghopur (located in Lalu Prasad’s political base). The infrastructure project has significant political value because it connects the power center of the state with the constituencies of the chief opposition leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The bridge was inaugurated when near Kachchi Dargah, a mosque on the eastern fringe of Patna. The ceremony also included several high-level state officials such as Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and the Assembly Speaker Nawal Kishor Yadav, who is the local MLA of the Patna Sahib constituency of which Kachchi Dargah forms part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        With the ceremony over and a fifth consecutive election campaign in the offing, Kumar, then, arguably politically very strategically, drove straight to Raghopur (a non-city area constituency of the opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav), in a direct interaction with the opposition leader’s political area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In Raghopur, Bihar’s longest-serving Chief Minister, was well received by the local population. On the other hand, Kumar expressed his pleasure of the change in connection and economic perspectives effect of this important infrastructure project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Shubhanshu Shukla Pilots Axiom\u20114 on SpaceX Falcon 9 to ISS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        On 25 June 2025 at 12:01 pm IST, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Indian Air Force, began his ascent to the International Space Station on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Block 5 from Launch Complex 39A, Kennedy Space Center. This is the second to have gone to space and the first Indian to live and work on the ISS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Who Is Shubhanshu Shukla?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Shubhanshu Shukla was born on 10 October 1985, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, graduated from the National Defence Academy in 2005, and joined the IAF Fighter Stream in June 2006. By March 2024 he was a Group Captain with over 2,000 hours of flying experience on combat aircraft like Su 30 MKI, MiG 21\/29, Jaguar and Hawk, and a member of the Gaganyaan astronaut cadre through ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) since 2019, completing training in Russia and Bengaluru, and joined the Ax 4 mission crew in early 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Falcon\u202f9 Block\u202f5 & Crew Dragon: A Safe Pair<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket was certified by NASA in November 2020; it is a reusable, medium-lift rocket recognized for its 100% success rate for crewed missions and redundant systems. The mission uses a new Crew Dragon capsule, operated autonomously, resulting in the four-member international crew travelling to the ISS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        A Global Crew and Mission Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The crew represents a truly global experience as Axiom 4 command will comprise former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, mission specialists from Poland and Hungary, and pilot Shukla. The crew is tasked to accomplish approximately 60 scientific experiments over 14 days, including seven designed in India, across microgravity, biology and materials science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This mission is India’s first government backed presence on the ISS and its re-emergence to human spaceflight since Rakesh Sharma flew in 1984. This mission is also an extension of the Gaganyaan programme and firmly places India alongside other nations capable of traveling to space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Technical Delays plus Final Countdown<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The launch was delayed several times due to weather issues, technical, and safety checks including a liquid oxygen leak in early June. In the end, the team was able to resolve all matters and the final launch window for the mission opened on 25 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
