The project, which is part of National Highway-87 (NH-87), will be completed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) with a project cost of \u20b91,853 crore. This will benefit traffic congestion and safety and support the socio-economic development of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project made news when Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the Cabinet approved to upgrade from two lanes the 46.7 km Paramakudi &#8211; Ramanathapuram of NH-87. This comes at a time when traffic volumes are rising, creating demands on upgrading infrastructure for tourism, trade, and local-level industries. The Cabinet approved the proposals to help create more income or employment reducing unemployment, promote heritage tourism, give economic support to cultural artists and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. R. Patil, launched C-FLOOD, a Unified Inundation Forecasting System, on July 2, 2025. C-FLOOD was developed together by C-DAC, CWC, and NRSC, and is be a web-based platform, which provides a two-day advance flood forecasts up to the village level, which will support flood preparedness in flood prone areas &amp; mitigate inundation impacts. The C-FLOOD initiative is part of the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) and highlights our country&#8217;s complementarity of science and technologies to combat climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of the C-FLOOD platform was formally done by Union Minister Shri C.R. The mega park will be over 1,052 acres and have world class amenities like Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) treatment, a 10,000 bed dormitory, and over 1.3 million sq. ft. of immediately available industrial build space. The PM MITRA Textile Park will be positioned for growth in technical textiles, and sustainable apparel manufacturing, and is expected to provide over \u20b910,000 crore of investment and over 1 lakh potential jobs by 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Tamil Nadu received its final governmental approval and funding from the Central Government.
