The Assam government has declared that there will be eight book fairs across the state in 2025 as part of the ‘Year of Books’. The fairs will be co-organized by the Publication Board of Assam and the Assam State Textbook Production and Publication Corporation Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fairs were scheduled in different districts to maximize participation and cultural reach, and will occur as follows: Bongaigaon (October 22\u201329), Lakhimpur (November 1\u201310), Nalbari (November 6\u201317), Jorhat (November 14\u201325), Tinsukia (November 28\u2013December 7), Silchar (December 1\u201310), Mangaldai (December 12\u201318), and Guwahati (December 24\u2013January 6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By spreading literary activities across regions, the initiative aims to promote a culture of reading, showcase Assamese literature, and provide a platform for writers, publishers, and readers to engage directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
