This will be Uttar Pradesh\u2019s 76th district, carved out from tehsils in Aligarh and Bulandshahr districts. The move not only pays tribute to the late leader but also aims to enhance administrative efficiency in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">District in Honour of a Leader<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kalyan Singh, who served as Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Chief Minister twice (1991\u201392 and 1997\u201399), was deeply associated with Atrauli, his birthplace and political stronghold.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CM Yogi Adityanath confirmed the decision during a public address, emphasising Singh\u2019s contributions to state development and governance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The government has begun preparations and directed local district magistrates to prepare feasibility reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proposed Geography of Kalyan Singh Nagar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the government\u2019s initial plan, Kalyan Singh Nagar will be created by merging the following tehsils,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Atrauli (Aligarh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gangiri (Aligarh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dibai (Bulandshahr)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These areas form the political and cultural heart of the region that Kalyan Singh represented for decades.
