Admission 2026<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Council of Educational Research and Training has officially announced admission for the <strong>2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course<\/strong> for the academic session <strong>2026\u20132028<\/strong>. The programme will be offered through NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) across Assam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates interested in pursuing the D.El.Ed. course must first appear in the <strong>Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2026<\/strong>, which is conducted by SCERT Assam for admission into the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pre-Entry Test (PET) is a state-level competitive examination for permanent residents of Assam seeking admission into D.El.Ed. institutions under SCERT Assam. Following the recommendations of the Justice Verma Commission, qualifying PET has become mandatory for admission into the D.El.Ed. programme. Following the recommendations of the Justice Verma Commission, PET is mandatory for admission into D.El.Ed. courses in Assam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PET has been conducted regularly since 2016 for admission into D.El.Ed.
