Kasturirangan Committee<\/strong>&nbsp;submitted the 484-pages draft report of National Education Policy\nto the new Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal.<br>\nThe report on the National Education Policy\nmainly put out on the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)&#8217;s website\nfor suggestions from the public<br>\nThe last date for the suggestions is&nbsp;June\n30.<br>\nThe Committee recommended renaming&nbsp;<strong>Ministry of Human Resource Development\n(MHRD)&nbsp;<\/strong>like the&nbsp;<strong>Ministry of Education (MoE).<\/strong><br>\nThe Draft National Education Policy 2019 is\nbased on the foundational pillars of five components of Access, Equity,\nQuality, Affordability, and Accountability.<br>\nThey also recommended major changes in the\ncurricular and pedagogical structure with Early Childhood Care and Education\n(ECCE) as an integral part of school education.<br>\nThe extension of&nbsp;<strong>Right to Education Act, 2009<\/strong>&nbsp;to\ncover children of ages 3 to 18 instead of 6 to 14years.<br>\nThe committee recommended a 4-year integrated\nstage-specific B.Ed program for teachers which will be the minimum degree\nqualification\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>K.
