{"id":1904,"date":"2019-06-21T05:37:39","date_gmt":"2019-06-21T05:37:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=1904"},"modified":"2019-06-21T05:37:40","modified_gmt":"2019-06-21T05:37:40","slug":"tripura-to-host-10th-national-science-film-festival-of-india-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/tripura-to-host-10th-national-science-film-festival-of-india-in-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Tripura to host 10th National Science Film Festival of India in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>10th&nbsp;National Science Film Festival of India would be held\nhere in January- February to popularize science films and literature, where at\nleast ten countries would participate, a minister said on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>State Science and Technology minister, Sudip Roy Burman said,\nVigyan Prasar of the central government, state government and Tripura Central\nUniversity have come together to organize the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roy Burman said, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had requested\nthe former Union Science and Technology minister Harsh Vardhan to hold the\nfestival in Tripura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of Vigyan Prasar, Nakul Parasar said, National Science\nFilm Festival of India (NSFFI) is an event of the Vigyan Prasar to celebrate\nscience outrich through cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sudip Roy Barman said, &#8220;NSFFI aims to foster, strengthen\nand create scientific tenper through films that popularise science, technology\n, innovation energy, environment medicine and emerging sciences, agriculture\nand traditional knowledge. And moreover, it also promotes appreciation of\nscience films in a simple way that would bring science closer to common people\nthrough simple ways of explanation\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NSFFI started with its debut show in Chennai eight years\nback in 2011. It has covered almost all regions of the country since then\nincluding Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Bangalore, Lucknow, Mumbai, Guwahati and\nMohali. The show would be held for the second time in NE India at Agartala city\nfor five days in January and February, 2020.
