China<\/strong> launched a space rocket from the sea for\nthe first time on 5\nJune 2019<\/strong>.  With this China will be the third nation<\/strong> to\nsuccessfully demonstrate the ability to launch satellites into orbit from a floating platform<\/strong> following the U.S. and\nRussia.<\/strong>
\nIn the operation, March 11<\/strong>,\na Long rocket was launched from a ship in the Yellow Sea.<\/strong>

Aim:<\/strong>
\nThe first ever seaborne launch technology aims\nto meet the growing launch demand of low inclination satellites.<\/strong> It is also expected\nto help China provide launch services <\/strong>for countries participating\nin the Belt\nand Road Initiative<\/strong>

Payloads:<\/strong>
\nThe rocket carried two experimental satellites\nand five commercial satellites. The experimental satellites will monitor ocean\nwinds to set up  all-weather monitoring of ocean wind\nfields and improve typhoon monitoring and accuracy of the weather\nforecast in China. It was built by the China Academy of Space Technology\nin Beijing.

\n5. New satellite for China’s Jilin-1\nremote-sensing satellite constellation
\nThe seaborne test along with its ambitious plans\nfor missions to the moon and beyond has made China a major space power.

China’s space exploration:<\/strong>
\nChina is the first nation to land a rover on the\nfar side of the moon. It also plans to build a research base on the lunar surface.\nThe country also plans to send a probe to Mars and build a space station in\nEarth orbit.
\nIn 2003, China became the third nation to have\nthe capability of launching humans into space.
