\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 2nd\nGlobal Disability Summit<\/strong> being held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. ‘Disability\nSummit, Argentina 2019’<\/strong>, the three-day summit will be held from 6 June to 8 June 2019<\/strong>.\nIndia will be represented by the Minister of Social Justice and\nEmpowerment Thaawar\nChand Gehlot.<\/strong>

Organized\nby:<\/strong>
\nThe Global\nDisability Summit<\/strong> is organized by International Alliance Disability\n(IDA),<\/strong> an umbrella organization focused on improving\nawareness and rights for individuals with disabilities around the globe which\nwas established in 1999, and Latin\nAmerican Network of Non-Governmental Organizations of Persons with Disabilities<\/strong> and\ntheir Families (RIADIS). <\/strong>

Objective:<\/strong>
\nThe summit will be focusing on deliberating\nissues across the world\nconcerning empowerment and inclusion of<\/strong>Persons with Disabilities<\/strong>.\nThe summit will also include a discussion to work out a mechanism for enabling\nthem to live an independent and dignified life. 
\nThe Summit brings together governments, international\norganizations,<\/strong> organizations of people with disabilities,\ncivil society organizations,  international cooperation agencies,\nacademia, and the private sector, with the hope of achieving real change for\npeople with disabilities.

1st\nGlobal Disability Summit:<\/strong>
\nThe 1st\nGlobal Disability Summit <\/strong>was held in London<\/strong> on 23-24 July 2018. <\/strong>The\nsummit was hosted by the UK Department\nfor International Development (DFID), <\/strong>along with the International Disability\nAlliance (IDA) <\/strong>and the Government of Kenya.
\nAim: The 1st summit was in line with the\nprinciple of \u2018nothing\nabout us, without us\u2019.<\/strong>40<\/strong> countries participated in the\nsummit.
\nAll countries that participated in the summit\nsigned the Charter\nfor Change<\/strong>, the principal legacy document of the Global\nDisability Summit and committed to working in direction of economic empowerment\nof the persons with disabilities.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
