India\u2019s score of&nbsp;<strong>56.2&nbsp;<\/strong>on a scale of&nbsp;<strong>0\u2013100.<\/strong>The index found\nthat no country has fully achieved te gender equality and that the global\naverage score of<strong>65.7 out\nof 100&nbsp;<\/strong>which falls in the<strong>&nbsp;poor category.&nbsp;<\/strong><br><br><strong>Parameters:<\/strong><br>\nSDG Gender Index a new index that measures<strong>&nbsp;global gender equality<\/strong>&nbsp;considering\nvarious parameters such as&nbsp;<strong>education,\nliteracy, political representation, poverty, health, and equality at the\nworkplace.<\/strong>&nbsp;The SDG gender index included<strong>&nbsp;51 indicators<\/strong>&nbsp;across<strong>&nbsp;14 of the 17 official&nbsp;<\/strong>Sustainable\nDevelopment Goals. The list covered<strong>&nbsp;129\ncountries&nbsp;<\/strong>across all regions of the world.<br><br><strong>Index\ndeveloped by:<\/strong><br>\nThe SDG Gender Index was developed by&nbsp;<strong>UK-based Equal Measures 2030<\/strong>&nbsp;along\nwith regional and global organisations including&nbsp;<strong>Asian-Pacific Resource and Research\nCentre for Women,&nbsp;<\/strong>African Women&#8217;s Development and\nCommunication Network, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and International\nWomen&#8217;s Health Coalition.<br><br><strong>India\nin the list:<\/strong><br>\nIndia&#8217;s highest goal scores in the Index are on\nSDG 3 of health where it secured<strong>&nbsp;79.9<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>SDG 2<\/strong>&nbsp;of hunger\nand nutrition with&nbsp;<strong>76.2&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>SDG 7<\/strong>&nbsp;of energy\nwith<strong>&nbsp;71.8.<\/strong><br>\nIndia&#8217;s lowest goal scores in the SDG index are\non<strong>&nbsp;SDG 17&nbsp;<\/strong>of\npartnerships, the country scored&nbsp;<strong>18.3<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>SDG 9&nbsp;<\/strong>of\nindustry, infrastructure and innovation with&nbsp;<strong>38.1<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>SDG 13&nbsp;<\/strong>of climate\nwith&nbsp;<strong>43.4.<\/strong><br><br><strong>Top\/Bottom\n10 Countries in the Index:<\/strong><br>\nThe countries that secured the top 10 ranks\nare&nbsp;<strong>Denmark,\nFinland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Slovenia, Germany, Canada, Ireland, and\nAustralia.<\/strong><br>\nThe countries that secured the last 10 ranks\nare&nbsp;<strong>Sierra Leone,\nLiberia, Nigeria, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Yemen, Congo, DR Congo, and Chad.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India&nbsp;ranked&nbsp;95th out of 129 countries&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Sustainable Development Goals Gender Index.
