\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe African\nUnion\u2019s Peace and Security Council<\/strong> has suspended Sudan as\nthere is no\ncivilian rule established in the country.<\/strong> The decision was\ntaken at AU’s peace\nand Security Council meeting<\/strong> in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa.<\/strong>
\nThis move by AU intensifies global pressure on\nSudan’s new military leaders to stand down after witnessing worst violence\nsince Bashir’s\nfall. <\/strong>
\nAU said Sudan will be suspended until power was\ntransferred to a civilian-led authority in the country. It also demanded to\nresolve an\nentrenched and bloody crisis.<\/strong>
\nThe AU\u2019s suspension followed the forceful\ndispersal of the month-long sit-ins. The military action resulted in the death\nof more than a hundred protesters.
