\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Ministry\nof Information and Broadcasting (I&B)<\/strong> has instituted\nits first Antarashtriya\nYoga Diwas Media Samman (AYDMS).<\/strong> It was announced by\nthe Minister\nPrakash Javadekar.<\/strong> The aim of the award is to acknowledge\nthe positive role & responsibility of media in disseminating the outreach\nof Yoga in India and abroad. The award will be conferred to Media Houses\nengaged in Print Media, Electronic and (Television & Radio). 
Prize: <\/strong>The award comprises of a special medal\/plaque\/trophy and a citation<\/strong>.
Six\njuries<\/strong> will assess the\ncontribution of Media in the popularising of Yoga. The duration of the coverage\nfor AYDMS would be from 10th\nJune to 25th June 2019.<\/strong>
\nAnnouncement of the honors will be announced and\nAntarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman (AYDMS) ceremony in July 2019 (tentative\ndate).

Categories:<\/strong>
\nThe award would be given under the following\ncategories:
\n1)Best\nMedia Coverage of Yoga in Newspapers<\/strong> – Eleven Sammans\nwill be conferred in 22 Indian languages and English
\n2)Best\nMedia Coverage of Yoga in Television<\/strong> – Eleven Sammans\nwill be conferred in 22 Indian languages and English
\n3)Best\nMedia Coverage of Yoga in Radio <\/strong>– Eleven Sammans will\nbe conferred in 22 Indian languages and English
\nIn 2019, the year the award was\ninstituted, thirty-three\nawards<\/strong> have been conferred under the 3 categories.

\nUnited Nations has universally acknowledged Yoga\nunder the leadership of Prime\nMinister Narendra Modi. <\/strong>Yoga is being practiced globally\naround 200\ncountries on 21 June every year.<\/strong>
