Prime Minister Narendra Modi <\/strong>led the\nInternational Day of Yoga 2019 celebrations to be held in Ranchi on June\n21. 
\nAround 30,000 people are expected to participate\nin the main event.
\nThis function will attend to by several State\nDignitaries, besides the Yoga Organisations and Yoga Gurus.
\nMinistry of AYUSH planned every year observation\nof the International Day of Yoga across the country. 
\nThe ministry successfully organized several\nprograms during the last four years in connection with the International Day of\nYoga. 
\nThey requested the stake-holding Ministries and\nDepartments of the Central Government, State Governments and other related\ninstitutions to work in a coordinated manner to observe the International Day\nof Yoga (IDY).
\nNearly two-minute long video shows a 3D-animated\nversion of the prime minister performing the Ardha Chakrasana or the Half Moon\nPose in a spacious room as a voiceover guides viewers through a step-by-step\nprocedure of the yoga.

\nAbout International Yoga Day<\/strong>
\nMay 21 is referred to as Yoga Day and celebrated\nsince its inception in 2015. International day for yoga was declared by United\nNations General Assembly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN address\nsuggested a date of 21 June as it is the longest day of the year in the\nNorthern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the\nworld.
