{"id":2165,"date":"2019-06-21T07:31:48","date_gmt":"2019-06-21T07:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=2165"},"modified":"2019-06-21T07:31:49","modified_gmt":"2019-06-21T07:31:49","slug":"the-g20-summit-ended-with-the-issual-of-joint-statement-on-trade-and-the-digital-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/the-g20-summit-ended-with-the-issual-of-joint-statement-on-trade-and-the-digital-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"The G20 Summit ended with the issual of joint statement on trade and the digital economy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the&nbsp;<strong>G20 Summit<\/strong>, the Finance Ministers\nand Central Bank Governors from the Group of 20 economies issued a joint\nstatement on<strong>trade and the digital\neconomy.<\/strong>&nbsp;The meeting was held in<strong>Tsukuba, Japan&nbsp;<\/strong>on&nbsp;<strong>8 and 9 June 2019.<\/strong><br>\n<br>\n<strong>Aim:<\/strong><br>\nThe G20 Summit was focused on the ways<strong>&nbsp;to promote trade and cooperation<\/strong>&nbsp;among the G20 countries in order to harness the\npotential of the digital economy.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>New tax rules:<\/strong><br>\nThe Finance Ministers discussed<strong>&nbsp;new tax rules on global IT giants<\/strong>&nbsp;as well as the impact of aging populations on the\neconomy as the corporate sector make huge profits through cross-border data\ntransfers.<br>\n<strong>Global growth<\/strong>&nbsp;is being stable and is expected to&nbsp;<strong>pick up moderately<\/strong>&nbsp;by late 2019 and into 2020. However, growth remains low\nand risks remain tilted to the downside as&nbsp;<strong>trade and geopolitical tensions&nbsp;<\/strong>have been&nbsp;<strong>intensified.<\/strong><br>\n<br>\n<strong>Agreements:<\/strong><br>\nThe Ministers confirmed their&nbsp;<strong>commitment to refraining from competitive\ncurrency<\/strong>&nbsp;devaluations in order to gain an unfair\ntrade advantage.<br>\nThey also agreed on guiding principles for using\nartificial intelligence which is created on the 36-member OECD and an\nadditional six countries.
