A huge column of ash was blasted and spread&nbsp;<strong>7 km high&nbsp;<\/strong>to southeast and south of crater.<br>\nMount Sinabung blew for<strong>&nbsp;nine minutes.<\/strong>&nbsp;It caused panic among the island\u2019s residents.&nbsp;The\nvolcanic activity was accompanied by multiple earthquakes felt in nearby\nvillages. No casualties have been reported due to the eruption.<br>\n<strong>Indonesia<\/strong>&nbsp;has nearly<strong>&nbsp;130 active volcanoes<\/strong>, more than\nany other country.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Mount Sinabung:<\/strong><br>\nSinabung was<strong>&nbsp;inactive for around 400 years<\/strong>&nbsp;before it erupted in&nbsp;<strong>2010, 2014 and February 2018<\/strong>. Since then it has become one of<strong>&nbsp;south east Asian nation&#8217;s most\nactive volcanoes.<\/strong><br>\nMount Sinabung is a&nbsp;<strong>Pleistocene-to-Holocene stratovolcano<\/strong>&nbsp;located in North Sumatra.&nbsp;It is particularly<strong>prone to seismic activity<\/strong>&nbsp;due to its location on the<strong>&nbsp;Ring of Fire.<\/strong><br>\n<strong>Ring\nof Fire:&nbsp;<\/strong>It&nbsp;an arc of\nvolcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mount Sinabung volcanoerupted in&nbsp;Sumatra Island&nbsp;of western Indonesia.
