{"id":2244,"date":"2019-06-21T08:12:07","date_gmt":"2019-06-21T08:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=2244"},"modified":"2019-06-21T08:12:08","modified_gmt":"2019-06-21T08:12:08","slug":"international-day-against-child-labour-observed-on-june-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/international-day-against-child-labour-observed-on-june-12\/","title":{"rendered":"International Day Against Child Labour observed on June 12"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>International Labour Organization\n(ILO)&nbsp;<\/strong>started to celebrate World Day Against Child\nLabour in 2002&nbsp;<br>\n<strong>Aim<\/strong>: To focus attention on the global extent of child labour and\nthe action and efforts needed to eliminate it.&nbsp;<br>\nThe 2019 theme is Children shouldn\u2019t work in\nfields, but on dreams!<br>\nThe day brings government employers and workers\norganizations, civil society, as well as millions of people from around the\nworld to highlight the plight of child labourers.<br>\nSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by\nworld leaders in 2015 to include a renewed global commitment to ending child\nlabour.&nbsp;<br>\nSustainable Development Goals and effective\nmeasures are take-ups in order to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery\nand human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst\nforms of child labour includes use of child labours by the year 2025 and to end\nchild labour in all its forms.<br>\nILO celebrates 100 years of advancing social\njustice.<br>\nThe protection of children embedded in the ILO\u2019s\nConstitution (Preamble).
