{"id":2256,"date":"2019-06-21T08:15:25","date_gmt":"2019-06-21T08:15:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=2256"},"modified":"2019-06-21T08:15:26","modified_gmt":"2019-06-21T08:15:26","slug":"ndma-conducted-training-programme-for-cbrn-emergencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/ndma-conducted-training-programme-for-cbrn-emergencies\/","title":{"rendered":"NDMA conducted training programme for CBRN emergencies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>National Disaster Management Authority\n(NDMA)&nbsp;<\/strong>conducting a basic training programme at the\nDeendayal &nbsp;Port Trust in Kandla, Gujarat.&nbsp;<br>\nIt is a five-day training programme.<br>\nThe main aim is to increase awareness and\nenhancing the preparedness of Seaport Emergency Handlers (SEHs) to respond to\nCBRN emergencies.<br>\nThis is the fourth in a series of such\nprogrammes.<br>\nIt will be conducted at various seaports across\nthe country to enable SEHs to respond suitably to the arrival of specialised\nresponse teams.&nbsp;<br>\nThe three batches of SEHs were trained at\nMangalore, Kochi and Navi Mumbai.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>About Training Program<\/strong><br>\nThe training programme conducted in\ncollaboration with the Indian Ports Association (IPA), Institute of Nuclear\nMedicine &amp; Allied Sciences (INMAS) and National Disaster Response Force\n(NDRF). This training programme will improve the CBRN safety at our seaports by\nenabling the SEHs to handle any CBRN emergency.<br>\nThe programme consists of lectures, field\ntraining, including live demonstrations of detection of Personal Protective\nEquipment (PPE) and mock exercises.&nbsp;<br>\nEquipping the SEHs to handle CBRN emergencies<br>\nThe training programme will enable them to\nprovide medical first aid and initial psycho-social support.<br>\n<strong>Atomic Energy Regulatory\nBoard (AERB),&nbsp;<\/strong>Bhabha Atomic Research\nCentre (BARC) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will\ntrain the participants.<br>\nThere are 50 participants representing various\nagencies responsible for operation and maintenance of the seaport are being\ntrained on various aspects of CBRN emergencies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)&nbsp;conducting a basic training programme at the Deendayal &nbsp;Port Trust in Kandla, Gujarat.&nbsp; It is a five-day training programme.
