In 2019, the day fell on\u00a0<strong>June 10.\u00a0<\/strong>The devotees prayed at the famous<strong>\u00a0Ragnya Devi temple<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>Ganderbal district, J&amp;K.<\/strong><br> Zyestha Ashtami is celebrated by Kashmiri Pandits across the country and outside as the day marks commencing of\u00a0<strong>annual pilgrimage.<\/strong><br><br><strong>Mela Kheer Bhawani:<\/strong><br><strong>Kheer Bhawani<\/strong>\u00a0is a temple that is dedicated to the\u00a0<strong>Goddess Kheer Bhavani\u00a0<\/strong>constructed over a sacred spring. Kheer Bhawani Mela is one of the biggest\u00a0<strong>religious functions\u00a0<\/strong>of displaced community of <strong>Kashmiri Pandits<\/strong>, who were forcefully evicted from Valley in 1990s by militants.\u00a0<br> The devotees carry rose petals, walk barefoot, and offer tribute to goddess and offer milk and kheer (pudding) at sacred spring.
