The aim of the observation of the day is to educate people about the history of the Chinese language.<br><br><strong><u>Chinese at the UN:<\/u><\/strong><br>The <strong>United Nations (UN)<\/strong> observes the&nbsp;<strong>Chinese Language Day<\/strong>&nbsp;to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity. The UN promotes all six of its official languages, namely<strong> Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish<\/strong> throughout the Organization. The observation of the first UN Chinese Language Day was held on <strong>12 November 2010<\/strong>. In 2011, the date was moved to<strong> 20 April.<\/strong><br><br><strong><u>Chinese Language-History:<\/u><\/strong><br>One of the most complex languages is<strong> Chinese. <\/strong>It is believed that the Chinese language has existed for thousands of years. Due to the complex nature of the language, its origins remain unknown and when it separated itself from that family.&nbsp;<br>Chinese is formed from the Sino-Tibetian language family. It is believed that the origins of the Chinese language are credited to Cangjie. The<strong> written Chinese language<\/strong> was invented by Cangjie. Later, different dialects formed throughout the provinces of China. The dialects used in early and middle 11th to 7th centuries B.C. is not seen much in modern Chinese.
