Key-Points<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\nJal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was launched by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 73rd Independence Day, which is 15 August 2019, from the ramparts of Red Fort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mission is under implementation in partnership with States. The main objective of the mission is to have \u2018Har Ghar Jal\u2019, every house in the village is to be provided with a tap connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the mission, during 2019-20, more than 84 lakh households were provided with tap connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Water delivery in every home through tap connections is an aspiration for women. JJM will bring dignity and empowerment to women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
