Mylab Discovery Solutions has launched \u2018Compact XL\u2019 – India\u2019s first machine to automate the manual processes of molecular diagnostic tests such as RT-PCR tests for Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compact XL is a compact bench-top machine that will automate lab processes from sample handling to preparing RT-PCR ready tubes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a cartridge-based machine and can test multiple samples at the same time. It can be used for a wide range of RNA\/DNA-based tests including Covid-19 RT-PCR tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The machine can take input of various sample types such as plasma, tissue, sputum and swab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compact XL will replace the need of 700 sq ft of clean room lab with a 4×3 benchtop machine and reduce the need of 3-4 expert technicians to just one, saving operational costs for labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mylab Discovery Solutions Pvt Ltd is an Indian biotechnology company that produces molecular diagnostic detection kits in the field of medical diagnostics, drug discovery, biomedical research and agricultural genomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were the first company in the country to make ID-NAT screening kits for quantitative HIV, Hepatitis B vaccine and Hepatitis C vaccines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company by choice does not have any external investor and does not avail of government subsidies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
