India has emerged as the most attractive global market for clean energy on 10 July, 2020 through launching a 750 MW solar project in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh through video-conferencing by Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solar energy is sure, pure and secure and the country is now among the top five solar power producers in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rewa solar power plant will not only supply power to Madhya Pradesh, but also to the Delhi Metro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Rewa project comprises three solar generating units of 250 MW each located on a 500 hectare plot of land situated inside a Solar Park (total area 1500 hectare).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Solar Park was developed by the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL), a joint venture company of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVN), and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a Central Public Sector Undertaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Clean Energy?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Clean Energy is energy that is produced through methods that do not release greenhouse gases or any other pollutants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can be generated from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean energy often provides energy in four important areas: electricity generation, air and water heating\/cooling, transportation, and rural (off-grid) energy services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NCSEA defines clean energy as energy derived from renewable, zero-emissions sources (\u201crenewables\u201d), as well as energy saved through energy efficiency (\u201cEE\u201d) measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
