This partnership between the State Institute for Development of Arts and Crafts (SIDAC) under the Flipkart Samarth programme will enable Odisha&#8217;s local artisans, weavers and craftsmen to showcase their hallmark products to millions of customers across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key-Points<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Odisha\u2019s well-known brands such as Boyanika, Utkalika and Sambalpuri Bastralaya, which work with local artisans and weavers, will set up stores on Flipkart Marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This partnership will also help the artisans gain valuable knowledge about branding, digital marketing and financial management while showcasing the local heritage and hallmark products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This MoU will bring the benefits of Flipkart Samarth to the thousands of handloom artisans, weavers and craftsmen in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boyanika:<\/strong> Boyanika represents the primary weavers cooperative societies of Odisha and is synonymous with preservation of heritage designs, promotion of new contemporary fabric, promoting national awardees and providing a national and international platform to the weavers of Odisha. Boyanika and its affiliate weaver&#8217;s products are certified by Handloom mark and they only sell the best of Odisha Handlooms after each product undergoes a strict quality control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Utkalika:<\/strong> It is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Bhubaneswar. The handicraft items mainly comprise textile works, brass appliqu\u00e9 works, terracotta products, tribal jewelry and a variety of bell metals.
