The average income of potters under the Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana has gone up from nearly Rs 3,000 per month to nearly Rs 12,000 per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is an initiative of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) for empowerment of potter community in the remotest of locations in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program reaches out to the potters in U.P., M.P., Maharashtra, J&amp;K, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Assam, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Telangana and Bihar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program provides the following support to potters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Training for advanced pottery products<\/li><li>Latest, new technology pottery equipments like the electric Chaak<\/li><li>Market linkages and visibility through KVIC exhibitions<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Union Home Minister Amit Shah has distributed 100 electric potter wheels to 100 trained artisans under the Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), seeking to empower and associate the marginalized potters\u2019 community with India\u2019s quest to become \u201cAatmanirbhar\u201d via a Video Conference from New Delhi.
