The phase 5 of Vande Bharat Mission of Air India will begin from 1 August to bring back more stranded Indians.  As the Vande Bharat Mission enters its fifth phase, it will connect India with the USA, Canada, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Singapore, UK, Frankfurt, Paris, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, New Zealand, Philippines, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 792 flights which include 692 international flights and 100 domestic flights have been scheduled under this phase to repatriate Indians from 23 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These include GCC countries, US, Cananda, UK, Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, China, Israel, and Kyrgyzstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Briefing media this evening, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, these flights would cater to 21 different airports in India and repatriate a total of one lakh thirty thousand Indians stranded abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vande Bharat Mission<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Vande Bharat Mission is the biggest evacuation exercise to bring back Indian citizens stranded abroad amidst the coronavirus-induced travel restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mission has given priority to Indian citizens with \u201ccompelling reasons to return” \u2013 like those whose employment have been terminated, those whose visas have expired and not expected to be renewed under the present circumstances and those who have lost family members in recent times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the repatriation plan, the government will be facilitating the return of Indian nationals stranded abroad on compelling grounds in a phased manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
