Being organized by WABA, WHO and UNICEF, WBW came up with the goal to promote exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life which yields many health benefits, providing critical nutrients, protection from deadly diseases such as pneumonia and fostering growth and development for the first time in 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The correct norms of infant and young child feeding are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n- Initiation of Breastfeeding within an hour of birth.<\/li>
- Exclusive breastfeeding for first six months of life i.e. only breast Milk \u2018NO\u2019 other milk, food, drink or water.<\/li>
- Appropriate and adequate complementary feeding from six months of age while continuing breastfeeding.<\/li>
