Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Minister has participated in the second G-20 Virtual Trade and Investment Ministers Meeting which focused on immediate and concrete actions that can ease the distress being faced by people all over the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second G20 Ministers Virtual Meeting was held under the Saudi Presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministers agreed to provide diagnostic and protective equipment and health care professionals across borders where they are most needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India suggested the G-20 nations to ensure access to essential medicines, treatments, and vaccines at affordable prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India has proactively partnered in global efforts to develop vaccines and effective treatment for this disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting also stressed the urgent need to build the digital skills and capacities of developing countries and LDCs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussion on the need to make binding rules on digital trade and e-commerce, which will freeze the extremely non-level playing field against their interests, and deprive them of the opportunity to benefit from the immense potential in these areas was held.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
