The exercise witnessed the participation of 50 representatives from\nlaw enforcement agencies from the International Security Alliance (ISA)\ncountries including members of tactical teams; swift intervention units; and\nmedia, communications, civil defense and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)\nteams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Described as a realistic experience that is one of its kind in the world,\nthe ISLAEX19 is based on unexpected scenarios where the teams of the ISA\ncountries will operate according to different security theories and strategies in\norder to test the readiness of the international teams in facing security\nthreats. The exercise also aims to assess the tools, strategies and procedures\ndeveloped by the ISA countries since the paunch of the Alliance in 2017. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day exercises began with a sudden TV announcement of a security\nthreat in a virtual country. As per the set scenario, participants received\nreports about a group targeting this virtual country with several attacks.\nParticipants from specialized teams were deployed to chambers dedicated to the\ntraining field as per their specialties including security analysis and\ntactics, risk management and operations, amidst simulated attacks and threats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialized task forces communicated the information and news compiled about\nthe attacks to field commanders to enable the proper decision-making. Response\nto the threats was carried out based on the security scenarios that have been\nadopted during the International Security Alliance\u2019s workshops, which provided\nproper training to ensure a joint participatory actions to achieve the desired\ngoals and promote prompt response and preparedness to such security events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teams worked in perfect harmony in the Operations Room set up for this\nexercise, to come up with the most appropriate security practices to respond to\nthe security threat according to plans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a different note, teams taking part in the Joint Exercise (ISALEX19) visited Wahat Al Karama, Abu Dhabi&#8217;s national and cultural landmark designed to commemorate the sacrifices and heroic deeds of UAE martyrs to defend their homeland and protect its achievements. They also visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, SZGM, in Abu Dhabi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About ISALEX19:<\/strong><br>ISALEX19 is based on the unexpected scenarios where the teams of the ISA countries will operate according to different security theories and strategies in order to test the readiness of the international teams in facing security threats. The realistic experience in the exercise is one of its kind in the world<br><strong>International Security Alliance (ISA):<\/strong><br>The Alliance was launched in <strong>February 2017<\/strong>.
