In this scheme the state government will provide free sanitary napkins for women \/ girls belonging to below poverty line (BPL) category in villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key-Points<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The main purpose of Haryana Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana is to promote menstrual hygiene &amp; women empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each women\/girl b\/w the age of 10 to 45 years will get a packet of 6 sanitary pads absolutely free each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Haryana state, there are 11,24,871 BPL families. In order to provide sanitary napkins to each girl in these village families, Rs. 39.80 crore amount has been allocated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>These sanitary pads will remain available in packets comprising of 6 sanitary pads absolutely free of cost.<\/li><li>These free sanitary napkins are easy to dispose which will help in keeping environment clean.<\/li><li>Biodegradable pads are of high quality and will promote Swachhta, Swasthya and Suvidha for poor women.<\/li><li>This scheme will promote menstrual hygiene, provide huge relief to the girls and women and will result in Women Empowerment.<\/li><li>Haryana Free Sanitary Pad Distribution Scheme is a major initiative towards Waste to Wealth Management.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Haryana government has launched Mahila Evam Kishori Samman on 5 August 2020.
