{"id":3179,"date":"2019-07-03T10:07:53","date_gmt":"2019-07-03T10:07:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=3179"},"modified":"2019-07-12T08:27:16","modified_gmt":"2019-07-12T08:27:16","slug":"sbi-inks-mou-with-niif-to-boost-capital-availability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/sbi-inks-mou-with-niif-to-boost-capital-availability\/","title":{"rendered":"SBI inks MoU with NIIF to boost capital availability"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>State Bank of India (SBI) and National Investment and Infrastructure Fund\n(NIIF) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost the availability of\ncapital for infrastructure projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of the MoU includes equity investments, project funding, bond\nfinancing, renewable energy support and take-out finance for operating assets,\naccording to the joint statement issued by SBI and NIIF. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of this initiative is to aid in filling the gap at a time when\nthe availability of equity and debt financing for infrastructure has moderated,\nit added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rajnish Kumar, Chairman, SBI, said the bank and NIIF have joined hands to\nprovide a suite of financing solutions to the infrastructure sector. The\ninitiative will address concerns relating to the availability of equity and\nlong-term debt funding options to large scale projects, thereby stimulating the\ninfrastructure development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sujoy Bose, Managing Director and CEO, NIIF, said the availability of\npost-construction take-out equity and debt financing for developers and\nbuilders of infrastructure projects will play an important role in the\ninfrastructure development cycle in India.
