In Uttar Pradesh, State\nGovernment has decided to set up Ganga Committees in all 25 districts situated\non the banks of river Ganga.

\nThis step is part of the large scale program to\nclean the holly river. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat\ntoday met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and discussed issues like water\nconservation, revival of dry rivers, rainwater harvesting and plantation\ndrive.
\n
\nAIR correspondent reports that addressing a joint press conference after\ndiscussion with Union Minister, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the state has\nlisted 15 rivers which gone dry at present and will be revived under the action\nplan.
\n
\nIn coming days, a special plantation drive on the\nbanks of prominent holy rivers will be taken up.

\nUnion Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat\nsaid that a total of 85 projects related to Clean Ganga Mission worth 1185\ncrore rupees are running in the state, out of which 15 have been completed so\nfar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
