The 34th edition of the\nNational level sailing championship<\/strong>, began in Telangana on 2 July<\/strong>. It was\ninaugurated by the Telangana Governor ESL\nNarasimhan<\/strong>. It will be at the Hussain\nSagar Lake<\/strong>. The event will take place between July 2 till July\n7. The Championship aims to place the State into the world sailing map. The\nState currently have three participants <\/strong>who\npreviously were Asian medalists.

\nAbout the event:<\/strong>
\nEvent Organizer: <\/strong>
\nThe event is being jointly organised by the EME\nSailing Association (EMESA)<\/strong> and supported by Sports Authority of Telangana State.<\/strong>
\nWhy the location? <\/strong>
\nHyderabad has been chosen as the wind conditions in the city are most\nfavourable to hone sailor\u2019s skills in yacht handling and understanding wind\nshifts.
\nParticipants: <\/strong>
\nThis event includes 190 plus sailors, 16 sailing clubs with round 21 sailors\nfrom Telangana state alone. Technical part of championship is taken care of by\nforeign sailing members.

\nAbout EME sailing:<\/strong>
\nEMESA was formed in 1964<\/strong>. It has\nproduced a number of medal winners both at National and International\nlevel. In 1986, LCAI was founded with a view to promote sailing in India.\nSince then, event has been conducted continuously for last 33 years and is\npopularly known as \u201cHyderabad Sailing week\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
