Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe meeting was co-chaired by Mahaveer Singhvi, the Ministry of External\nAffairs’ Joint Secretary for Counter-Terrorism and Ambassador Farhod Azriev of\nUzbekistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Joint Working Group reviewed threats posed by terrorist groups\nworldwide and in their respective regions including cross border\nterrorism,” an official press release stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two sides exchanged views on current counter-terrorism challenges\nincluding countering radicalisation, combating the financing of terrorism,\npreventing the use of the internet for terrorist purposes and returnee foreign\nterrorist fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They also deliberated upon measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation in\nthe sphere of counter-terrorism through information sharing, mutual capacity\nbuilding and sharing of best practices. Cooperation in multilateral fora\nincluding UN, SCO-RATS and EAG was also discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next meeting of the Joint Working Group will be held in Uzbekistan “on a mutually convenient date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
