Minister of State for Home Affairs launched Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) for the period 2018-2020 to combat cyber crime in the country, in a coordinated and effective manner. The scheme has following seven components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(i)        National\nCybercrime Threat Analytics Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(ii)       National Cybercrime\nReporting Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(iii)     Platform for Joint Cybercrime\nInvestigation Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 (iv)     National Cybercrime\nForensic Laboratory Ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(v)       National Cybercrime\nTraining Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(vi)      Cybercrime Ecosystem\nManagement Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(vii)    National Cyber Research and\nInnovation Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

           \nThe Central Government has launched Cybercrime Reporting Portal to enable\ncitizens to report online content pertaining to Child Pornography (CP)\/ Child\nSexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or sexually explicit content such as Rape\/Gang\nRape (CP\/RGR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Government has taken steps to spread awareness\non cyber crime, issue cyber related alerts\/ advisories, capacity building\/\ntraining of law enforcement officers\/ judges\/ prosecutors, improving cyber\nforensics facilities etc. to prevent cyber crime and expedite investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police\u2019 and \u2018Public order\u2019 are State subjects as per the\nConstitution of India. States\/UTs are primarily responsible for prevention,\ndetection, investigation and prosecution of crimes through their law\nenforcement machinery. The Law Enforcement Agencies take legal action as per\nprovisions of the law against the reported cyber crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs,\nShri G. Kishan Reddy in a written reply to question in the Rajya Sabha<\/p>\n\n\n\n
