Gupta, who picked up the sport as a  nine-year-old, has achieved the sensational feat at the age of 15 years,  4 months and 10 days.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His achievement came 31 years after Viswanathan Anand had\nbecome India&#8217;s first Grandmaster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;And we are complete. 64th GM!! Welcome our newest GM\nPrithu Gupta!,&#8221; Anand posted from his twitter handle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In reply, Gupta thanked Anand for his wishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Thank you Anand sir .. You have always been the\nbiggest inspiration,&#8221; tweeted the youngster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gupta received his first GM norm at the Gibraltar Masters\nlast year, before achieving the second norm at the Biel Masters the same year.\nHe got the final norm at the Porticcio Open early this month and finally\nachieved the required ELO points with win over Yankelevich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D Gukesh is India&#8217;s youngest GM at 12 years, 7 months and 17\ndays.
