CAF President, who is facing corruption charges, failed to recommend Mr. Pinnick for another term of office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But despite stepping down as CAF\u2019s first vice president, Mr Pinnick remains\na strong member of the CAF exco. He also remains a member of the organising\ncommittee for FIFA competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup is an international association football\ntournament, organised by FIFA for national teams of women under the age of 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tournament is held in even-numbered years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was first conducted in 2002 as the FIFA U-19 Women\u2019s World Championship\nwith an upper age limit of 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2006, the age limit was raised to the current 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No African country has ever hosted the event and Nigeria is looking set to\nbe the first, having been pencilled down by FIFA to stage the 10th edition of\nthe biennial football event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, Nigeria has made it to the final of the FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s\nWorld Cup on two occasions in 2010 and 2014 but was defeated by Germany both\ntimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last FIFA event held in Nigeria was the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which\nwas the thirteenth edition of the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup:<\/strong><br>It is an international association football tournament.It is organized by FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), for national teams of women under the age of 20.
