UKERI stands for \u2018UK-India Education Research Initiative\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About\nUKEIRI Mobility Programme<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is an\ninitiative of Universities UK International (UUKI) and British Council India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong>:\nTo fund students from UK to visit India. It also aims to generate up to 200\nopportunities for undergraduate students at UK universities to visit India by\nMarch 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Target<\/strong>:\nStudy in India programme will support national as well as institutional-level\nobjectives to increase levels of outward student mobility from UK to 13% by\n2020. This target is set out in UUKi\u2019s \u201cGo International: Stand Out\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To reach its goal\nUKEIRI Mobility Programme will support Britain\u2019s universities to collaborate\nwith Indian partners to send UK students to India during their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Implementation of India-UK bilateral scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Programme will be\nfunded by UK Government and Government of India as part of Phase 3 of UKEIRI\nand delivered by British Council, Universities UK International (UUKI) and\nEducational Consultants India Limited (EdCIL)&nbsp; in India.\n\nUnder\nprogramme the priority will be given to students from traditionally\nunderrepresented groups to visit India during their courses.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new India-UK bilateral scheme has been launched on pilot basis to support Britain\u2019s universities to collaborate with Indian partners to facilitate United Kingdom (UK) students to visit India during their studies.
