While Pegida had previously attracted \u201cheterogeneous\u201d support and taken \u201cmoderate\u201d positions, it had developed \u201can increasingly right-wing extremist orientation\u201d, Saxony\u2019s domestic intelligence agency LfV said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pegida, which campaigns against what it calls the \u201cIslamisation of the West\u201d, was born in October 2014 with xenophobic marches every Monday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
