This move will open up national market access for these underserved communities, giving them access to a constantly growing pan-India customer base of more than 150 million and empowering them to leverage the benefits of the e-commerce model, the company said in a press statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Going beyond just providing market access, Flipkart Samarth\nhas been designed to support the e-commerce journey for artisans from\non-boarding until they reach familiarity with the process of selling online.\nThe host of initiatives and benefits under Flipkart Samarth include dedicated\nsupport for onboarding, cataloguing, account management, business insights,\ndedicated seller support, reduced commission where eligible, and warehousing\nsupport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flipkart Samarth will work closely with reputed NGOs and\ngovernment bodies and livelihood missions to reach a large number of rural\nentrepreneurs, with a special focus on women-led enterprises, differently-abled\nentrepreneurs, artisans, and weavers, who often face obstacles such as lack of\naccess to working capital, poor infrastructure, and inadequate training.\nFlipkart has systematically assessed the pain points and aspirations of these\ngroups and designed Flipkart Samarth to address their problems and make it\neasier for them to list and sell online, the company statement mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a homegrown company, we are constantly innovating to\nfind new ways to use e-commerce to uplift and empower all sections of society,\nespecially MSMEs,\u201d said Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO, Flipkart Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough \u2018Flipkart Samarth,\u2019 we are helping traditionally\nunderserved communities access a pan-India market and engage with over 150\nmillion customers. The initiative will help us partner with the government and\nadd impetus to various social empowerment schemes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Flipkart Samarth\u2019 will leverage the increasing internet\npenetration in rural India to boost entrepreneurship.\n\nAnurag Singh Thakur, minister of state for\nfinance and corporate affairs, who launched the initiative as chief guest said:\n\u201cI am happy to see a slew of private players including Flipkart have come\nforward and bridge the gap between local artisans, technology and the\nmarketplace.
