Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nSh. Prahlad Singh Patel launched the Mobile Library Buses\nunder the \u201cGhar-Ghar Dastak Ghar Ghar Pustak\u201d Scheme of the Delhi Public\nLibrary, which aims to provide books to the citizens of Delhi, especially, the\nresidents of slums, resettlement colonies and rural areas.The Minister of\nCulture also visited the library and interacted with young students\/ readers and\nmotivated them to develop reading habits. He expressed how a book has the same\neffect on a reader as a mother has on her child and how there cannot be all\nround mental development of person without reading books. Shri Patel directed\nthe DPL to maintain a special collection of books on eminent personalities\nwhich should be made available among the masses, especially the youngsters\nthrough these mobile library buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The occasion was also graced by Sh. Avtar Singh, Mayor,\nNorth Delhi Municipal Corporation, Dr. Ramsharan Gaur, Chairman, Delhi Library Board\n& Dr. Lokesh Sharma, Director General, Delhi Public Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Ramsharan Gaur,\nChairman, Delhi Library Board gave a brief on the activities undertaken by the\nDPL for the development of the library and its services.
