India ranks 117 on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted as a part of the 2030 agenda by 193 United Nations member states in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India ranks below four South Asian countries – Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, it said. The overall SDG score of India is 61.9 out of 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, which provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are 17 SDGs which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 17 SDGs adopted by UN member states are SDG1- no poverty, SDG 2-zero hunger, SDG3-good health and well-being, SDG4- quality education, SDG 5- gender equality, SDG 6- clean water and sanitation, SDG 7- affordable and clean energy, SDG 8 \u2013 decent work and economic growth, SDG 9- industry, innovation and infrastructure, SDG 10 \u2013 reduced inequalities, SDG 11- sustainable cities and communities, SDG 12- responsible consumption and production, SDG 13- climate action, SDG 14- life below water, SDG 15- life on land, SDG 16- peace, justice and strong institutions and lastly SDG 17- strengthening global partnerships for the goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
