300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>State Bank of India (SBI) recently launched a new loan offering \u2018Kavach Personal Loan\u2019 to provide relief to its customers who are facing financial challenges due to covid related treatment costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kavach Personal Loan is a collateral-free offering by SBI, under which a maximum of Rs 5 lakh loan can be availed at 8.5 per cent per annum for a period of 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This unique product is being offered under the collateral-free personal loan category and comes at the cheapest rate of interest under this segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This loan scheme by SBI will be under the Covid loan book that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had asked banks to create to provide relief to individuals and institutions affected due to covid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RBI had created a Rs 50,000 crore liquidity window, under which banks were encouraged to borrow at the repo rate from RBI and lend to institutions to strengthen medical infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Large banks, with ample liquidity, also have been permitted to use their own liquidity to lend to individuals and institutions under the Covid loan aimed at creating awareness for Mylab&#8217;s products and kits such as CoviSelf and also to share educational content, according to the firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MyLab Discovery Solutions had launched CoviSelf after receiving approval from the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The price for CoviSelf kit has been set at Rs 250. According to the firm, the self-test kit offers a &#8220;comfortable, easy-to-use and accurate alternative to the current test method&#8221;.&nbsp; The kit can be purchased without a prescription from online channels as well as local pharmacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the company, CoviSelf has been designed as a mid-nasal swab test which can detect positive results in just 15 minutes.
