Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nMinister of State for Higher Education Bhanwar Singh Bhati\ninaugurated the model, titled Resource Assistance for Colleges with Excellence,\nin the presence of principals of colleges here recently. He said all the\ncolleges would get equal opportunities for imparting quality education with the\nadoption of the new model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The colleges in need will submit their requirement to the\nnodal college in the district, which will send the teachers on deputation, if\nneeded, and provide the facilities such as projectors, digital libraries,\nequipment and technicians. The model will help the colleges situated in small\ntowns facing shortage of faculties and infrastructure. Though the sanctioned\nposts of teachers in the government colleges are 6,500, the State at present\nfalls short by about 2,000 teachers. Until the additional posts are created and\nnew appointments made, the RACE is expected to help channelise resources and\nensure quality education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The State Commissioner (College Education), Pradeep Kumar\nBorad, told that the new model would effectively decentralise the\ndecision-making power of colleges and encourage them to share physical and\nhuman resources within the district. \u201cRACE will give autonomy to small colleges\nand help them find solutions to their problems at the local level,\u201d he said.\n\nMr. Borad, who was instrumental in conducting\nthe first-of-its-kind examination without invigilators in all the 237\ngovernment colleges across the State last month, said the RACE would turn out\nto be an initiative rendering academic assistance to the students and make the\ninstitutions of higher learning accountable to the society.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
