The government has appointed a private person Aashish Chandorkar as \u2018Counsellor\u2019 in India’s Permanent Mission in the World Trade Organisation for three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointment of a private person is a first at the Mission and comes ahead of a crucial ministerial conference of the WTO later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chandorkar is director of Bengaluru-based policy think tank Smahi Foundation of Policy and Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
