So far, residents of the state lived under a separate set of\nlaws, including those related to citizenship, ownership of property and\nfundamental rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the\nprovisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill that was passed by the\nupper House of Parliament, Jammu and Kashmir will have a legislature while\nLadakh will not. Both regions have been designated union territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Foreign\nSecretary also condemned the preceding pre-meditated steps such as complete\nlock-down of IOK, deployment of additional 180,000 troops, imposition of\ncurfew, house arrest of Kashmiri leaders and suspension of communication\nservices, among others,” the Pakistani statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Foreign\nSecretary called upon India to halt and reverse its unlawful and destabilizing\nactions, ensure full compliance with UN Security Council resolutions, and\nrefrain from any further action that could entail serious implications,”\nit said.\n\n\u201cThe Foreign Secretary reiterated that Pakistan\nwill continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the\nindigenous legitimate Kashmiri people\u2019s struggle for realization of their\ninalienable right to self-determination,” it added.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
