It would enable information sharing, collaboration and\nsituational awareness through high-speed data and secure voice communication\nwith anti-jamming capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next Generation\nMaritime Mobile Coastal Batteries (NGMMCB, LongRange) would be fitted with\nsupersonic BrahMos surface-to-surface cruise missiles and would be deployed\nalong the coast. The NGMMCB has been developed and manufactured in India by\nIndo-Russia Joint Venture Company, M\/s BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both these\nindigenously developed equipment are of the latest generation and would give a\nfillip to the Make-in-India initiatives of the Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuing its focus on \u2018Ease of business\u2019 in the defence acquisition, the DAC also approved amendments to the Defence Procurement Procedure 2016. The amendments are designed to simplify processes under the \u2018Make\u2019 category as well as \u2018Offsets\u2019.
