Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe book was launched by K. Veeramani, president, Dravidar\nKazhagam, who handed over the first copy to R.S. Bharathi, organising\nsecretary, DMK, on Tuesday. Sending his wishes through a statement, Mr. Stalin\nsaid the book was being launched one day before the late DMK leader\u2019s first\ndeath anniversary. It \u201cbrings out Kalaignar\u2019s achievements, work and\nmulti-faceted personality\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Veeramani said the book was in a sense a historical work\ndetailing Karunanidhi\u2019s life. \u201cHe was a person who stood for the State\u2019s\nautonomy. This is not just a book but a weapon given by Kalaignar for State\u2019s\nautonomy, a weapon of knowledge,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recalling his association with Karunanidhi, Mr. Veeramani\nsaid, \u201cThe book\u2019s name itself is a message for youngsters. Don\u2019t doubt whether\nbeing one person you can achieve anything. Periyar, Karunanidhi, Anna were all\njust separate individuals, but each of them became a movement. Each of you\nmight be one person, but each one of you is a movement,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Bharathi said even for someone like him who had worked\nwith Karunanidhi for nearly 50 years, reading the essays in the book gave him a\nlot of new information about the late DMK leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
