\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Union Health Ministry&#8217;s National Telemedicine Service \u2013 eSanjeevani has crossed another milestone by completing 7 million (70 lakh) consultations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>eSanjeevaniAB-HWC \u2013 the doctor-to-doctor telemedicine platform has been implemented at around 21,000 Health and Wellness Centres as spokes and over 1900 hubs, which are located in District Hospitals and Medical Colleges in around 30 States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The doctor-to-doctor telemedicine platform has served over 32 lakh patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Defence too has hosted a National OPD on eSanjeevaniOPD, where over 100 veteran doctors and specialists &#8211; roped in by the Ministry of Defence, serve patients across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) recently launched a project named \u2018BOLD\u2019 to reduce desertification and provide livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project aims to boost the income of the tribal people and solve environmental concerns such as land desertification and land degradation by creating bamboo-based green patches in drylands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project BOLD or Bamboo Oasis on Lands in Drought aims to create bamboo-based green patches of land in arid and semi-arid zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first of its kind exercise in India, project BOLD was launched on June 4 from the tribal village Nichla Mandwa in Udaipur, Rajasthan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the project, 5000 saplings of special bamboo species \u2013 Bambusa Tulda and Bambusa Polymorpha from Assam were planted on approximately 16 acres of vacant arid Gram Panchayat land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-black-background-color has-background to create global manufacturing champions in the country and attract firms exploring a China-plus-one strategy for production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes in the backdrop of production linked incentive (PLI) schemes launched last year that seek to create global manufacturing majors in India by removing sectoral disabilities and creating economies of scale to develop complete component eco-systems in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February invited global firms to take advantage of the \u20b91.97 trillion PLI schemes for 13 sectors and expand their manufacturing in \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>NASA\u2019s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) will continue its hunt for asteroids and comets including objects that could pose a hazard to Earth for two more years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This mission extension means NASA\u2019s prolific near-Earth object (NEO) hunting space telescope will continue operations until June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally launched as the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission in December 2009, the space telescope surveyed the entire sky in infrared wavelengths, detecting asteroids, dim stars, and some of the faintest galaxies visible in deep space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WISE completed its primary mission when it depleted its cryogenic coolant and it was put into hibernation in February 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Observations resumed in December 2013 when the space telescope was repurposed by NASA\u2019s Planetary Science Division as \u201cNEOWISE\u201d to identify asteroids and comets throughout the solar system, with special attention to those that pass close to Earth\u2019s orbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-black-background-color has-background wp-block-heading\" reorganization of erstwhile JK State, newly created Union Territory Ladakh is focussing on strengthening education institutions, CBSE affiliation to existing schools and rationalization of schools to improve Student-teacher ratio and educational infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ladakh has 22 thousand students in 907 Government schools and over 29 thousand students in 112 private schools. has released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The law, once enacted, will extend to all citizens inside as well as outside India and a foreign national or a stateless person who has his or her residence in India at the time of commission of offence under this Act<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of the Bill vis a vis offenders will also include defence personnel and government servants, doctors and paramedical staff or anyone in a position of authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exploitation has been defined to include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation including pornography, any act of physical exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or forced removal of organs, illegal clinical drug trials or illegal bio-medical research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bill also extends beyond the protection of women and children as victims to now include transgenders as well as any person who may be a victim of trafficking<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Property bought via such income as well as used for trafficking can now be forfeited with provisions set in place, similar to that of the money laundering \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Food Corporation of India (FCI), West Bengal region is fully geared up for implementing the Fourth Phase of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna (PMGKAY).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Six lakh Metric Tonnes of food grains was handed over to the State Government for distribution during the month of May and June in West Bengal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Union Government announced further extension of PMGKAY for another five months till November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has allocated 9.02 lakh MTs of wheat and 6.01 lakh MTs of Rice for distribution under the the 13th BRICS Summit being hosted by India this year. The task has been assigned to Quality Council of India (QCI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ONDC aims at promoting open networks developed on open sourced methodology, using open specifications and open network protocols independent of any specific platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ONDC is expected to digitize the entire value chain, standardize operations, promote inclusion of suppliers, derive efficiencies in logistics and enhance value for consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An advisory council has been constituted to advise the Government on measures needed to design and accelerate adoption of ONDC.
